Dassault Falcon 10X Makes First Flight

Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 10X successfully completed its maiden flight on June 19, 2026, launching the aircraft’s flight test campaign from Bordeaux-Mérignac. Test pilots Sébastien Dupont de Dinechin and Fabrice Dougnac flew the 2.5-hour mission, evaluating handling qualities and systems at altitudes up to 40,000 feet while reaching speeds of Mach 0.82.

Launched in May of 2021, the 10X is intended to compete with the Bombardier Global 7500 and Gulfstream G700. Like the G700, it uses Rolls-Royce Pearl engines but sacrifices some range and speed in favor of a larger passenger cabin.
